Under the guidance, prekindergarten students, for example, are taught to \u201crecognize and respect that people express themselves in different ways.\u201d It further advises school systems to teach kindergartners how to \u201crecognize a range of ways people express their identity and gender.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/~goldfarbe\">Dr. Eva Goldfarb<\/a>, a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/public-health\">Public Health<\/a> Professor who researches sexuality education, said Maryland\u2019s framework is \u201cdevelopmentally and age appropriate.\u201d The gender identity section teaches students noncontroversial topics, like that there are no jobs appropriate for one gender and not another.
