The Department of Spanish and Italian offers a Master of Arts degree in Spanish literature with a wide range of courses in Spanish and Spanish American literature as well as in literary theory, Hispanic linguistics, culture and pedagogy, and translation and interpreting. Conferences and lectures by Latin American and Spanish writers are an integral part of the cultural life of the MA program and students frequently have the opportunity to meet authors they have studied in class.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/academics\/programs\/ba-spanish\/\">BA in Spanish<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/academics\/programs\/ma-spanish\/\">MA in Spanish<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Application Requirements<\/h2>\n<div class=\"prpl-drawer\"><div class=\"prpl-drawer-header\">Students with a GPA of 3&period;0 or above<\/div><div class=\"prpl-drawer-content\">\n<ul>\n<li>Application Deadline: Rolling admission<\/li>\n<li>Complete expedited Fast Application<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<div class=\"prpl-drawer\"><div class=\"prpl-drawer-header\">Students with a GPA below 3&period;0<\/div><div class=\"prpl-drawer-content\">\n<p>Students with a GPA below a 3.0 are not eligible for admission to a Combined Program, and will need to\u00a0<a rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/graduate\/how-to-apply\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"c-link\" data-stringify-link=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/graduate\/how-to-apply\/\" data-sk=\"tooltip_parent\" data-remove-tab-index=\"true\">submit a traditional application<\/a>\u00a0to their\u00a0<a rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/graduate\/programs-of-study\/#\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"c-link\" data-stringify-link=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/graduate\/programs-of-study\/#\/\" data-sk=\"tooltip_parent\" data-remove-tab-index=\"true\">graduate program of interest<\/a>.
