An undergraduate research experience is a valuable complement in pursuing an education in the science and mathematics disciplines. These opportunities help students focus and refine their academic and career goals, develop problem-solving skills and apply concepts from the classroom. Student researchers develop teamwork, time management and communication skills. These skills are utilized in the lab, at local and national conferences and in publications.<\/p>\n
