***FREE*** Disability Pride Art-Making Day, hosted by MAM (Montclair Art Museum)<\/strong><\/p>\n Drop in to MAM\u2019s Geyer Studio anytime 12 –\u00a03 p.m.<\/b>\u00a0to create your own hand-made signs, banners, or wearable\u00a0art\u00a0to celebrate\u00a0disability\u00a0pride\u00a0and civil rights. All materials will be provided. This program is\u00a0Free.\u00a0<\/b>\u00a0<\/b>Please share this invitation with your family, friends and community!<\/b><\/p>\n Disability\u00a0Pride\u00a0Art\u00a0Making Day <\/p>\n <\/p>\n May 18 <\/strong>(rain date, May 19); 1-4pm in Montclair Segal Gallery event “Art, Access, and Well-Being”<\/strong><\/p>\n Event description:\u00a0<\/b>Design your own tissue box in this workshop with exhibiting artist Finnegan Shannon to draw attention to the simple and earnest ways comfort and hospitality can be fostered through gestures of generosity. Afterwards, join the artist for a discussion on disability, access, art and activism the Disability Caucus President, Alicia Broderick. Presented with the Department of Art and Design, co-sponsored by the Office for Social Justice & Diversity and the Disability Caucus. Subjectivity in Audio Description” on Feb 24, 2022<\/a>, and a “cultural translation” workshop by Nefertiti Matos Olivares, an expert on cultural accessibility and audio description.<\/p>\n All events are free and open to the public.<\/p>\n
