Classroom learning is immediately transferrable to the job and opens the opportunity for in-demand accounting positions in a wide variety of corporations, nonprofit institutions and in the public sector.<\/p>\n<p>The Professional Accounting Certificate Program satisfies the NJ State Board requirement of 24 credits in accounting education. Please review the current <a rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/njcpa.org\/learn\/maintain-your-license\/cpe-requirements\" target=\"_blank\">requirements for the NJ CPA exam<\/a>. The program is ideal for an undergraduate business major, who did not major in accounting, and who, sometime after graduation, has decided to pursue a career as a professional accountant. The program is a pathway towards our MS in Accounting degree. In addition, students pursuing an MBA, or who already earned an MBA, may be interested in this certificate if they decide to pursue the CPA license.<\/p>\n<p>Program Highlights:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>24 credits that can be completed within 18 months<\/li>\n<li>Full-time or part-time study options<\/li>\n<li>Evening classes held after 5:30 PM<\/li>\n<li>Rolling admissions<\/li>\n<li>Discount for students interested in taking a CPA review course<\/li>\n<li>Professional Accounting Certificate graduates are eligible apply for the MS in Accounting regardless of their undergraduate academic background.<\/li>\n<li>All 24 Professional Accounting Certificate credits can be transferred into the 33-credit MS in Accounting program.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Along with the graduate certificate in professional accounting, the department also offers an <a href=\"http:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/graduate\/programs-of-study\/accounting-certificate\/\">Accounting (Certificate)<\/a> program, an <a href=\"http:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/graduate\/programs-of-study\/accounting-ms\/\">Accounting (MS)<\/a> degree, and a combined <a href=\"http:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/graduate\/programs-of-study\/accounting-combined-bsms\/\">BS\/MS degree in Accounting<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Please refer to our\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/graduate\/programs-of-study\/\">programs of study<\/a>\u00a0page for a comprehensive list of all of the graduate programs\u00a0offered within the university.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>*Students seeking an F1\/J1 visa are not eligible for this certificate program unless they are currently pursuing a master&#8217;s degree at 精品成人福利在线 University and are able to simultaneously pursue both programs while <a href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/global\/current-students\/f-1-students\/maintaining-f-1-status\/\">maintaining their student visa requirements<\/a>.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<div class=\"prpl-drawer\"><div class=\"prpl-drawer-header\">Admission Requirements<\/div><div class=\"prpl-drawer-content\">\n<p>The Office of Graduate Admissions requires the equivalent of a U.S. bachelor&#8217;s degree in order to be eligible to apply for a graduate program. Applicants with non-U.S. degrees, please visit the <a href=\"\/graduate\/how-to-apply\/international-applicants\/\">International Applicants<\/a>\u00a0page\u00a0to review the U.S. degree equivalency information.<\/p>\n<p>Ideal candidates will hold either an undergraduate degree in business or a Master\u2019s of Business Administration (MBA) degree from a regionally-accredited college or university.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<div class=\"prpl-drawer\"><div class=\"prpl-drawer-header\">Application Checklist<\/div><div class=\"prpl-drawer-content\">\n<p>In order to make applying for graduate school as seamless as possible for you, we have<br \/>\ncreated an application checklist.
