I will be working with animals on campus. Do I need to submit an IACUC Protocol?<\/div>

IACUC Project Determination Form\u00a0 IACUC Project Determination Form\u00a0<\/a><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The Project Determination Form should be utilized by Faculty, staff or students who have self-identified as working with animals that may not be subject to traditional IACUC review process. By submitting this form you will be notifying the IACUC of your activity and within 3-5 business days will have a determination letter from the IACUC acknowledging the activity and providing next steps if required.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n

What do I need to do to begin a new animal research project at Montclair?<\/div>

    2. If you are still unsure if you will need IACUC approval, submit an <\/span>IACUC Project Determination Form<\/span><\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
    3. Submitting an Animal Care and Use Protocol<\/span>\n

      1. Visit the <\/span>Forms and Applications <\/span><\/a>page for instructions on how to complete and submit the Animal Study Proposal form.<\/span><\/li>\n

      3. Occupational Health Clearance<\/span>\n

        1. Visit the <\/span>OHD website<\/span><\/a> for instructions on how to complete and submit the\u00a0<\/span>Animal Exposure Baseline Assessment Questionnaire<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/li>\n
        2. Contact the <\/span>OHD office<\/span><\/a> to schedule an appointment for a physical exam.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
        3. Once you have been cleared by OHD, your health clearance is active and must be renewed annually.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
        4. CITI training<\/span>\n
