ITDS offers a number of facilitated courses throughout the year offered in an online asynchronous format. Our Faculty Development Series: Empowering Online Teaching and Learning<\/strong> offers a comprehensive look at critical elements of teaching and learning online. Faculty members who have already taken our foundations course or seek additional opportunities to enhance online teaching practices are invited to explore all courses in our series focused on student engagement, assessment, and multimedia. If you\u2019re looking to learn more about one specific instructional technology, be sure to check out our<\/span> calendar of existing workshops<\/a> with open registration. If you’re interested in a more personalized approach, we have one-on-one consultations<\/a> available on a variety of topics.<\/p>\n Below, you will find more details on our faculty development opportunities:<\/span><\/p>\n EOTL101 – Empowering Online Teaching and Learning: Foundations for Success<\/strong> is the foundational course intended to provide faculty with an overview of online teaching and learning, applicable to both online and hybrid courses. Participants will explore strategies for creating inclusive online learning environments, the qualities of successful online instructors, and considerations for conducting effective assessments online. Standards for evaluating online courses to align with best pedagogical practices will also be shared. The cohort experience allows for a rich exchange of ideas and practices between faculty and peers across the university.<\/span><\/p>\n
