While it originated in the health sciences to support evidence-based medicine, it has since expanded into fields such as education, social sciences, and environmental studies. Researchers may use evidence synthesis to inform policy decisions, practice guidelines, and\/or future research agendas.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Consult a Librarian<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Librarians at the 精品成人福利在线 University Libraries provide <a rel=\"noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/montclair.libcal.com\/appointments\" target=\"_blank\">personalized research consultations<\/a> for faculty, staff, and students. As capacity allows, librarians can offer feedback, guidance, and\/or recommendations on these different aspects of the evidence synthesis process:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\">formulating clear and focused research questions<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\">designing and refining comprehensive search strategies across multiple indexes\/databases and grey literature sources (including filtering\/deduplicating search results and setting up alerts for new relevant publications)<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\">registering protocol (and\/or finding existing protocols)<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\">documenting search strategies for reproducibility<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\">using citation managers (e.g., EndNote, Zotero) to manage citations<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\">accessing the full-text of sources, including via interlibrary loan<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\">employing screening software (e.g., Rayyan)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In addition to one-on-one and small group consultations, we offer <a rel=\"noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/montclair.libcal.com\/calendar\/workshops\/\" target=\"_blank\">workshops<\/a> on evidence synthesis topics.
