For policy details, please click on the respective link or visit the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/policies\/category\/academic\/\">academic policy page<\/a>.<br \/>\n<div class=\"prpl-drawer\"><div class=\"prpl-drawer-header\">Academic Requirements<\/div><div class=\"prpl-drawer-content\">\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/policies\/all-policies\/academic-retention-standards\/\">Academic Actions<\/a> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u2013<\/span> Students with a cumulative GPA of 2.0 and higher are in good academic standing, those that fall below the 2.0 cumulative GPA are put on academic probation.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/policies\/all-policies\/academic-dishonesty\/\">Academic Dishonesty<\/a> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u2013<\/span> Submitted work that has been plagiarized, improperly cited, or unauthorized aid on tests, examinations, and other academic exercises.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/policies\/all-policies\/academic-dismissal\/\">Academic Dismissal<\/a> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u2013<\/span> If a student re-enrolls and remains in good academic standing after a suspension from the university, he\/she may request removal of notion at the time of filing for graduation.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/policies\/all-policies\/academic-integrity\/\"><strong>Academic Integrity<\/strong><\/a> \u2013 As an essential component of the academic life of the University, the policy on Academic Integrity defines key terms, describes expectations of students, and describes the process and possible sanctions for academic misconduct.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/policies\/all-policies\/academic-retention-standards\/\"><strong>Academic Retention Standards<\/strong><\/a> \u2013 Students who do not achieve the minimum 2.0 GPA for good standing are placed in an Academic Action status, and provided with support and programming to help improve academic achievement.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/policies\/all-policies\/academic-suspension\/\">Academic Suspension<\/a> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u2013<\/span> Academic standings that cause a student to be placed on academic suspension will result in a notion on the student\u2019s transcript.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/policies\/all-policies\/admission-to-majors-minors-and-concentrations\/\">Admissions to Majors, Minors, and Concentrations<\/a> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u2013 <\/span>During the admission process students must apply to a major or indicate they are \u201cundeclared\u201d. Undergraduate students that are currently enrolled are required to meet with an advisor to change or add a major, minor, or concentration.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/policies\/all-policies\/changes-to-the-academic-calendar\/\"><strong>Changes to the Academic Calendar<\/strong><\/a> \u2013 Once an academic calendar is posted, this policy establishes guidelines for the revision of the calendar.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/policies\/all-policies\/attendance\/\"><strong>Class Attendance<\/strong><\/a> \u2013 Attendance in class is integral to a University Education, and the instructor may provide an attendance requirement within the syllabus.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/policies\/all-policies\/sequence-of-core-requirements-to-be-completed-by-the-end-of-the-sophomore-year\/\">Core Requirements to be Completed by the End of Sophomore Year<\/a> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u2013<\/span> Certain courses are required before the completion of freshman and sophomore year. (Specified list)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/policies\/all-policies\/final-examinations\/\">Final Examinations<\/a> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u2013<\/span> All course testing and exams are scheduled by the individual faculty member during the semester.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/policies\/all-policies\/general-education-requirement\/\">General Education Requirements<\/a> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u2013<\/span> The purpose of these interdisciplinary courses is to acquaint students with contemporary issues stemming from scientific, global, and national concerns, and to ensure that all students deal with the same issues, thus sharing a common academic experience.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/policies\/all-policies\/grading-standards\/\">Grading Standards<\/a> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u2013<\/span> Grading standards consist of letter grades A through F including minus\/plus options.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/policies\/all-policies\/incomplete-work\/\"><strong>Incomplete Work<\/strong><\/a> \u2013 Students with extenuating circumstances, and in agreement with their instructor, can receive an incomplete grade for a course, allowing an extension to complete work.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/policies\/all-policies\/mandatory-first-year-advising\/\">Mandatory First-Year Advising<\/a> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u2013<\/span> All incoming freshmen are required to meet with advisors to discuss and approve course selections prior to registration for their first term of study.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/policies\/all-policies\/transfer-students\/\">Transfer Students<\/a> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u2013<\/span> 精品成人福利在线 University considers any student who has been enrolled in a regionally accredited college or university after graduating from high school as a Transfer Student.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/policies\/all-policies\/undergraduate-degree-requirements\/\">Undergraduate Degree Requirements<\/a> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u2013<\/span> See Undergraduate Degree Requirements in the University Catalog.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/policies\/all-policies\/university-writing-requirement\/\">University Writing Requirement<\/a> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u2013 <\/span>All students must satisfy a graduation requirement in writing that follows their program of study along with the University General Education Requirement.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/policies\/all-policies\/waitlist-policy\/\">Waitlist Policy<\/a> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u2013<\/span> Not all classes have a waitlist option, those that do allow the student up to 48 hours to register for a seat if one becomes available.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/policies\/all-policies\/withdrawal-procedures-from-the-university\/\"><strong>Withdrawal or Leave of Absence from the University &#8211; Undergraduate<\/strong><\/a> \u2013 Students who wish to separate from the university, temporarily or permanently, must follow the outlined process and guidelines.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/policies\/all-policies\/multicultural-awareness-requirement\/\">World Language and Cultures Requirement<\/a> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u2013<\/span> The purpose of the World Languages and Cultures Requirement is to ensure that all graduates are acquainted with the life, history, and contributions of Africans, African-Americans, Asian\/Pacific Islanders, Latinos, Women, and Native Americans.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div><br \/>\n<div class=\"prpl-drawer\"><div class=\"prpl-drawer-header\">Course-Related Policies<\/div><div class=\"prpl-drawer-content\">\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/policies\/all-policies\/course-repeats\/\">Course Repeats<\/a> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u2013<\/span> When a course has been repeated, both the original and the subsequent grade are included on the permanent record, but the credit for the course is counted only once.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/policies\/all-policies\/audit\/\"><strong>Auditing a Course<\/strong><\/a> \u2013 Students can audit a course, or in other words, sit in on a course without completing assignments, for personal interest or other reasons.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/policies\/all-policies\/academic-renewal-undergraduate\/\">Academic Renewal &#8211;
