If the TV has more than one input connector, select the one which is typically labeled \u201cCABLE IN\u201d, \u201cCATV\u201d, \u201cANTENNA\u201d or sometimes \u201cRF IN\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Method 1: Analog cable &amp; digital cable \u2013 Internal QAM tuner<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Connect one end of the coax cable into the wall jack and the other end to the TV.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Set the TV to CABLE or CATV.\u00a0<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">This setting is normally located in the menu or set-up option, however, it varies depending on the TV make and model.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Run a channel scan.\u00a0<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">This setting is normally located in the menu or set-up option, however, it varies depending on the TV make and model.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2>Method 2: Digital cable \u2013 external QAM tuner<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Connect one end of the coax cable into the wall jack and the other end into the external QAM tuner.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Connect the external QAM tuner to the TV.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Set the TV to CABLE or CATV.\u00a0<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">This setting is normally located in the menu or set-up option, however, it varies depending on the TV make and model.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Run a channel scan.\u00a0<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">This setting is normally located in the menu or set-up option, however, it varies depending on the TV make and model.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">After completing these steps, you should be able to use the channel up\/down feature of your TV and remote. If you don\u2019t perform the auto program or scan function, you should still be able to directly tune channels by entering channel number and \u201c-1\u201d (dash one).
