Knowledge to address the most challenging issues of our time<\/h2>\n

Sociology courses stay with you for the rest of your life. Become immersed in classes on Rich and Poor Nations, Environmental Justice, Sexuality, Urbanization, Race and Ethnic Relations, Marriage and Family, Bullying, Social Change, Sports and Gender Policy.<\/p>\n

You will do your own research on these topics by learning to conduct surveys, interviews, focus groups and ethnographies. The knowledge and skills will make you a perfect candidate for careers in social work, counseling, research, human resources, public relations, criminal justice, education, law, market research and more.<\/p>\n

You can even add the STEM Designated Master’s Degree with just one additional year of study<\/em><\/a> or a\u00a0STEM Designated Online Certificate Data Collection & Management<\/a> or an Online Certificate in Customer & User Experience Research (CX & UX Research).<\/a> There’s never been a better time to\u00a0<\/em>learn more about Sociology!<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n

Our Programs<\/h2>\n

The Department of Sociology offers both an undergraduate major and an undergraduate minor.<\/a> Students can also choose a sociology major with teacher certification in preschool to grade 12<\/a> as well as grades K-6<\/a>.<\/p>\n

At the graduate level, the department offers a Master’s Degree in Social Research & Data Analysis that can be completed in 16 months<\/a> as well as Certificates in Customer & User Experience Research (CX & UX Research)<\/a> and Data Collection & Management<\/a>. Or get a head start as an undergraduate by joining the Combined Bachelor’s and Master’s in Social Research & Data Analysis<\/a> or the BA\/MAT with teacher certification in grades K-6 and teacher of students with disabilities<\/a>.<\/p>\n
