src=\"http:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/sponsored-programs\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/194\/2020\/12\/grantlifecycle0-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"488\" height=\"454\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The Office of Sponsored Programs provides a wide breadth of services to the University community, to include:<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Pre-Award<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Meet with faculty and staff to review proposal instructions (RFP\u2019s, PA\u2019s), and steps for proposal application development and completion<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Develop budgets in compliance with agency and institutional guidelines<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Guide faculty and staff regarding institutional and sponsor policies and procedures<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Complete agency forms, assurances, representations and certifications<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Identify regulatory requirements as applicable<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Collaborate with partner institutions to secure all necessary subcontract documentation<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Review final applications for formatting, accuracy and adherence to sponsor requirements<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Assist with online proposal application and final submission by OSP\u2019s authorized organizational representatives<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Assist faculty and staff in the use of OSP\u2019s funding search tools and databases<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Disseminate funding opportunities to the Montclair community<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Hold educational workshops and training activities on proposal development<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><strong>Post-Award<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Negotiate incoming awards with federal and non-federal sponsors<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Assist with understanding and interpreting complex agency requirements (e.g.,\u00a0 prior approval requests)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Assist with non-financial post-award matters (e.g., no-cost extension requests)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Review proposed rebudgets in accordance with sponsor guidelines<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Assist with the timely submission of interim and final programmatic reports<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Manage outgoing subawards (e.g. drafting subaward agreements and amendments)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Provide general guidance on university policies and procedures (e.g. hiring, procurement, travel)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Hold one-on-one meetings with faculty and staff to discuss aspects of post-award management<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Conduct workshops and training activities on non-financial post-award
