All full-time students must have health insurance and are automatically charged for the Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP) on their student account to ensure compliance. However, students have the opportunity to waive or opt out of SHIP by submitting proof of a comprehensive, Affordable Care Act (ACA)-compliant health insurance plan online through University Health Plans.<\/p>\n

How to Waive or Enroll in the University Health Insurance<\/h2>\n

  1. Visit the University Health Plans (UHP) Website<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0to either waive or enroll in the school-sponsored health insurance plan.\n

    1. Waive:\u00a0<\/strong>Simply complete the\u00a0Waiver Form<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0before the deadline of Monday, September 15, 2025.<\/li>\n
    2. Enroll<\/strong>: Simply complete the\u00a0Enroll Form<\/strong><\/a>. If you do not complete this form, you will automatically be enrolled and charged the student health insurance premium.<\/li>\n
    3. If you do not act to waive or enroll, you will receive weekly reminders directly from University Health Plans (UHP).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n
    4. Get Access to Health Services!\u00a0<\/strong>Enrolling before the waiver deadline date will allow you access to the benefits as early as the plan’s effective date, which is Thursday, August 15, 2025.
