Dr. Sara Goldstein, Professor in the , recently commented on the lifting of mask mandates and bullying for the Miami Herald.
Dr. Goldstein said, bullying in schools this school year will partly reflect “mask wearing controversies surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic.鈥 She adds school districts 鈥渟hould enact efforts to make masks normalized and uncontroversial鈥 to dampen bullying.
Dr. Goldstein specializes in social and cognitive development, focusing on the development of peer relationships and peer behavior during childhood, adolescence, and young adulthood. Specifically, she studies how peer relationships and cognitions about peer relationships influence the development of aggression and other forms of problem behavior.
