Join the CHSS Center for the Digital Humanities for a lively conversation on a recent article that is getting a lot of publicity. 鈥淭he Digital-Humanities Bust鈥 (see attached link below) by Timothy Brennan is provocative, and we鈥檙e going to talk about it!
November鈥檚 Reading Group will take place on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 in the CHSS Center for the Digital Humanities, Schmitt Hall 135, from 3pm to 4pm
This event is open to ALL FACULTY AND STUDENTS.

In addition to the article by Timothy Brennan, we鈥檝e added a rebuttal article titled, 鈥淭here Is No Such Thing as 鈥榯he Digital Humanities鈥 by Dr. Eric Weiskott, Assistant Professor of English at Boston College (see attached link below). It is optional reading material but a good way to hear both sides of the argument.
Other optional reading materials include 鈥淒igital Is Not the Opposite of Humanities鈥 by Sarah E. Bond, Hoyt Long, and Ted Underwood from听The Chronicle of Higher Education听(1) and 鈥淲hy is Digital Humanities?鈥 by Sarah Catherine Stanley (2) (see attached links below).
