University to Host World Leaders 2017 Conference
Office of International Engagement welcomes international dignitaries and university partners for three days of conversation and collaboration

精品成人福利在线 University鈥檚 Office of International Engagement will welcome dignitaries from around the world this week for the inaugural Leaders of the World 2017 conference October 25-27.
The series of events provides a venue for top international leaders in education, business, government and nonprofit institutions to meet and discuss challenges facing their respective communities.
The three-day conference opens on October 25 at 3:30 p.m., with His Excellency, Ambassador of Costa Rica to the United Nations Juan Carlos Mendoza Garcia鈥檚 keynote address, 鈥淓thics and Civil Society.鈥 The day鈥檚 programming will conclude with renowned lecturer Gregorio Luke providing a presentation titled “John F. Kennedy: Perspectives on War, Nuclear War and Peace on Earth,” which will discuss Kennedy鈥檚 perspective on the legacy and future of immigrants in American society, nuclear threats and global peace. The former First Secretary of the Embassy of Mexico in Washington, D.C., Luke has given over 1,000 lectures in museums and universities throughout Mexico, Europe and the United States on immigration, and Mexican and Latin American culture.
On October 26, Education and Leadership will be the focus of the keynote address presented by Rosalia Arteaga, former president of Ecuador. University executives from four nations 鈥 Ecuador, Argentina, the Ivory Coast and 精品成人福利在线 University Provost Willard Gingerich 鈥 will participate in the Global Education Congress, a panel discussion moderated by 精品成人福利在线 Associate Provost of International Engagement Jane Ann Williams.
The Global Expo, scheduled for the afternoon, features student government organizations, and 精品成人福利在线 and international university partners鈥 study abroad, degree and research programs. International partner institutions and academic colleges will host tables for interactive discussions. Students receive free t-shirts after participating in the Expo.
The conference will close on October 27 with His Excellency Daouda Diabate, Ambassador of Cote d鈥橧voire to the United States, providing a keynote address. Participants will also have the option of taking an optional twilight cruise tour of the Manhattan skyline to conclude the conference.
