Education:
Ph.D., New York University, 2024
Research Interests:
For six years, I served preschool and elementary-aged children in public schools in Missouri and New Jersey as a Speech Language Pathologist. Due to the lack of research evidence on interventions to support autistic children with complex communication needs, I pursued a doctoral degree centered on the use of orthographic (text) support to aid vocabulary learning for minimally speaking autistic children. I aim to continue research in AAC and neurodiversity, investigating interventions to improve quality of life for non-speaking and minimally speaking autistic children.
