Upcoming Events

  • Campus Recreation invites employees (and up to four guests) to its free Family Swim Nights from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Student Recreation Center pool once a month on Fridays, September 29, October 27 and November 17. All children must be over age 5 and fully potty-trained. Guests must be accompanied by an employee with a University ID. For more information, contact Alex Sperling at sperlinga@montclair.edu.
  • Student Engagement Tools and Techniques fall 2023 cohort will start on October 2 and end October 22. SETT is a three-week faculty development program that provides participants with strategies to implement their teaching practices. Register here.
  • Spend a fall evening outdoors at the University Amphitheater on October 5 at 7 p.m. to watch the Disney/Pixar animated film Coco. The film will be accompanied live by a 20-member Latin music ensemble. Food trucks will be on-site. .
  • Celebrate Rocky’s carnival-themed birthday, Thursday, October 5 from 1:30 to 4 p.m. in the Student Center Ballrooms.
  • The 41st Annual Law School Admissions Day will take place Wednesday, October 11 from 2 to 6 p.m. at the University Hall Conference Center. The event will feature more than 35 law school representatives, educational workshops and resources. Refreshments will be served. .

University Communications and Marketing invites staff to participate in two new initiatives:

  • The Website Overhaul Project. Montclair has partnered with OHO Interactive for this project, and as a starting point, OHO and UCM are gathering ideas and perspectives from across the University. Today is the last day to to share your impressions of the website along with ideas for improvement. All answers will remain confidential.
  • Internal Communications Project. Staff and faculty are invited to participate in focus groups and individual interviews to share thoughts and insights on current communication channels specific to employee communications.
