Workday Student Project

Workday Student will become the University’s new student information system in the 2026-2027 Academic Year, replacing Banner. This change will streamline processes for students, faculty, and staff, from enrollment and financial aid to registration and graduation.

You may know Workday HCM, the HR and finance platform Montclair adopted in 2020 to modernize and standardize processes. Those benefits are now being extended to enhance student engagement efforts through Workday Student.

WMSC Winter Programming and Holiday Cheer

As winter break begins, has a jam-packed radio schedule to keep you entertained through mid-January.

Start your mornings with the “Morning Buzz,” enjoy nostalgic tunes on “My Emo Phase,” or wind down with “Back to the Future” and “Neon Vice Lair.” Sports fans can catch live games on “Sports Zone,” while music lovers explore everything from metal to Gen Z soundtracks. WMSC’s kicks off Monday, December 23.

The New Year’s Day Holiday will be observed on Wednesday, January 1, 2025. To ensure timely payroll for Friday, January 3, 2025, please follow the schedule below:

Payroll Period: Saturday, December 14 – Friday, December 27, 2024

• Employee Time Entry Deadline: Friday, December 27, 2024, by 7 p.m.
• Supervisor Time Approval Deadline: Monday, December 30, 2024, by 7 p.m.

Submit Your Spring Tuition Waiver/Reimbursement

The Spring Tuition Waiver/Reimbursement deadline is January 1, 2025. All applications MUST be submitted to the Division of Human Resources via Workday.

Spring 2025 Reminders for Instructors

Please see the new academic calendar announcement from August. As you complete your fall courses, consider how you will condense your course to meet the new formats.

Key Points:

• Spring 2025 Sessions A and B begin Friday, January 17. Classes will meet for 14 and 7 week sessions on a Monday Schedule.
• The new schedule has two common hours: Mondays and Wednesdays, 2:00 – 3:30 p.m.
• The calendar of University meetings has changed – see administrative calendar/schedule of meetings.

Important Dates:

• There are no classes on Monday, January 20, Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday

NJ Stem Loan Forgiveness

Apply for HESAA’s for individuals pursuing or employed in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) fields. If eligible, you may receive up to $2,000 in loan forgiveness annually, for a maximum of four (4) years.
