Two English Alumnae Present Papers

Two English alumnae presented their graduate research at the 25th annual British Women Writers Conference at the University of Chapel Hill (June 21-24).
Christina Jen, a doctoral candidate at Rutgers, presented work from her dissertation in a paper title 鈥溾楻eading Behind the Curtain: Jane Austen鈥檚 Theory of 鈥業ncomplete鈥 Acting.鈥 Bianca Perez-Cancino is in her third year at Indiana. Her paper was titled: 鈥淧arental Authority and Filial (Dis)Obedience in Gaskell鈥檚 North and South.鈥
Christina won the British Women Writers Association’s graduate student travel award. Congratulations to both!
