鈥淭his is what democracy looks like in my world鈥 combines a student meme contest based on this prompt with a panel dedicated to the results, selected by public vote. Students will engage directly in the conversation about democracy, bringing into focus the need for participation and the responsibility of being an informed and active participant. The contest will focus on the importance and power of voice and representation in a democratic practice.听听
Student prize winners Julie Henskens, Parham Mousa Elie, and Mari Zuniga will collectively contextualize and reflect on the process as a whole, along with faculty panelists Antoinette Pole, Political Science, and Pablo Tinio, Educational Foundations).
