Celebrate Homecoming at the First-Year Family Breakfast

Kick off Homecoming with a special breakfast just for first-year families! Students should talk with their parents, guardians, or family members to ensure their group is registered. Registration for the breakfast is managed through the , and a parent, guardian or family member must log in to complete the process.
This breakfast is a wonderful chance to connect with other first-year families, meet students and staff, and be part of the Homecoming excitement. Space is limited, so early registration is encouraged. Walk-ins are welcome as long as space allows. Please note that students cannot register themselves directly, registration must be completed by a parent, guardian, or family member through the family portal.

Come be part of the studio audience for a timely conversation between Emmy Award winning broadcaster Steve Adubato, PhD and 精品成人福利在线 University President Jonathan Koppell as they cover topics ranging from the importance of bold leadership to the state of American media to the role of Universities in fostering a civically engaged populace. This conversation will be produced to air on PBS’s 鈥淭hink Tank with Steve Adubato鈥 by a student production team from Montclair鈥檚 College of Communication and Media. Adubato is a proud Red Hawk who graduated from Montclair in 1980 with his Bachelor of Science, where he majored in Political Science. Join us for stimulating and entertaining dialogue with two of New Jersey鈥檚 thought leaders while experiencing the excitement of television production.
University Galleries Exhibition: The Age of Black Metal by Afrotectopia

Black Metal originated as a kitchen table art book that pushes the boundaries of space travel, science fiction, speculative design, Black culture, art, technology, and spirituality. The book emerged from an Afrotectopia-led incubator, in collaboration with MIT Media Lab鈥檚 Space Exploration Initiative and NYU鈥檚 Interactive Telecommunications Program. The project features contributions from artists Jordan Caldwell, Kordae Jatafa Henry, Jeremy Kamal, and Ari Melenciano.
The Age of Black Metal builds upon the foundational ideas of the book and translates the text into a fully immersive experience for visitors to explore each conceptual chapter鈥揻rom metaphysical training manuals, botanical consciousness, and self-alignment protocols鈥搕hrough participatory installations. The exhibition is set centuries in the future, imagining a timeline where society has been profoundly shaped by the principles of Black Metal. Ultimately, visitors will not only bear witness to the societal effects of Black Metal, but also leave transformed in some way.
The Age of Black Metal invites all to imagine the futures that Black culture can build, if given space to expand without limit. The exhibition is on view, September 23 鈥 December 14, 2025.

Til Death Do Us Part? chronicles the tumultuous relationship of a young African-American couple as they struggle with love, commitment and compromise. This is a two-character play, written by Dr. Daniel Jean 鈥00, Associate Provost, Former EOF Director, offers the audience a realistic illustration of the many obstacles facing young lovers as they attempt to stay committed to their vows. This play is directed by Associate Professor Charles Burks, BA Theatre Studies Program and runs for 63 minutes. Please Note: Adult themes are present in the play.
